Glen is a director of Core Business Accountants offering accounting and business financial management experience that spans three decades.
A Chartered Accountant, Glen’s clients include a cross section of mature and growing family-owned business and SMEs in sectors as diverse as hospitality, retail, wholesale distribution, professional services, construction and property development.
While he advises on all aspects of business management and accounting, he is in essence, a business builder who identifies where his clients want to be and simply helps them get there so that they and their businesses may prosper.
Glen’s approach combines financial management expertise and the ‘street smarts’ of an experienced accountant who spent 15 years working in accounting practices in Sydney’s CBD before relocating to the Sunshine Coast in 2003 where he has continued to help dozens of businesses to prosper.
Glen is known for his well-considered growth and expansion planning; effective finance and cashflow management; business structures that protect assets and legally save tax; and business practices and performance benchmarks that create yardsticks for measuring success.
Working proactively with his clients, he anticipates change and the actions needed to remain profitable and successful in a constantly evolving business landscape. Glen blends high-level technical know-how with a well-seasoned ‘gut feeling’ that only comes with tenure.
He has significant experience and knowledge of business systems, compliance legislation, property and share capital gains tax, income tax and asset protection.
Importantly, Glen is a knowledgeable sounding board who allows his clients to talk through concerns and opportunities. In return, they benefit from practical, plain-English responses that outline the pros and cons as well as risks and opportunities delivered in a manner that acknowledges, but removes, the emotion that can impede sound decision making.
Personally…
When not glued to the television watching the BBL cricket or AFL footy, Glen is a keen foodie who enjoys a hot Indian or Thai curry. He also appreciates a cold craft beer from the many local boutique breweries on the Coast and a glass or two of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Always searching for new experiences and new places to explore, Glen loves the US but in recent times has discovered Europe and the UK and has Scotland and Ireland firmly in his sights for upcoming trips.
